Lakers gets: Lawson

Brooklyn gets: Swaggy P, Gallinari

Denver gets: D.Williams, Plumlee, Lakers top 5 pick 2015

Lakers upgrade at PG and get rid of Young. Maybe they should get Plumlee instead of Denver if the pick is top 3. Still have money to make a big splash in free agentcy.

Nets save some money by giving up D.Will and will start Jack at PG. Young takes over the bench scoring. Gallinari gives them a starting SF and moves Johnson back to SG.

Denver takes Williams contract and gets rewarded with a top 5 first pick in this years draft. Lawson will be missed but with two draft picks in this years draft and Plumlee they have pieces for rebuilding.

The Lakers could get WAY more value for that pick. Lawson is an underrated starting Pg in the nba and might be an interesting combo guard to trade for it they got lucky with Towns/Okafor in the draft but definitely not worth that pick. In their current situation Mudiay and Russell are well worth the gamble over a 27 year old who's hit his ceiling.

It will be unwise in the extreme to trade away the top five pick. It's the first one we have had since Worthy was drafted, and it will be a long while before we get another. Let's use it to get a top talent, and not waste it on slightly above average players. D'Angelo is already better than Lawson!
