The cost for Lauri Markkanen is a young prospect and 4 first round picks. I am not kidding either. Lakers can just sign Porzingis in the off season being that he is a free agent. They aren't trading the only first they have right now for an expiring contract that can leave after this season.

Lakers already have Marcus Smart so no need for KCP. Lakers have already traded there second round picks in 2026 up through 2031. So they have no second rounders to trade. Lakers at this very moment have 1 FRP and 1 pick swap. That's it as far as draft capital. This off season that will increase to 2 FRP and 2 pick swaps.

I got it, finally figured out the beginning of a Lebron trade. According to Espn NBA Trade Machine it works if Lebron will waive his no trade clause, otherwise legal and what draft picks or add-ons to the deal one can only imagine BUT, legal, nonetheless.

Milwaukee gets:
Anthony Davis from Dal

Dallas gets:
Lebron and Bronny from Lak

Lakers get: Giannis from Mil

Giannis goes to where he wants
Lebron stays with Jr and can play with Flagg and mentor him and Davis gives Mil a much better return than say ....what they got from the Lakers for Kareem back in the day....
I leave you all to add in draft picks, swaps and other contracts to really "fair" this thing up!

The pick swaps would probably be convey to second rounders cause the Lakers will be better than the Bucks in the future. Also factor in the Lakers priority is to resign Austin Reaves this summer.

The likelihood of Lebron being traded is zero. He has a no trade clause in his contract and even if he were to exercise it he would probably exercise it to go to the Cavaliers or Mavericks. Which neither can happen anyway cause both are over the second apron and would need to dump salaries to make a trade work. Lebron will finish the season as a Laker and most likely his career as well as a Laker. Lebron in a Celtics uniform? Yeah that's not happening.

Just so you know Danny Ainge/ Utah Jazz are looking for a deal of 4 first round picks for Markkanen which isn't happening with the Lakers. Lakers have 1 pick and a swap. Not enough to get Markkanen.

Jackson Jr. is having a down year. With the amount of money he is owed the next 3 seasons I would take a pass. Lakers are going to resign Austin Reaves and with Doncic, Reaves and potentially Lebron if he resigns the Lakers will have no cap flexibility to sign other free agents. Remember Doncic, Reaves and Jackson Jr. by themselves will be close to first apron by themselves together.

Lakers only have 1 eligible first round pick which can be traded. Honestly I would probably take a pass on Williamson. Even though he is an allstar player he has an issue of constantly being injured and missing a bunch of time. In addition he takes up $42M + $44M in cap space the next two season which would limit the Lakers flexibility on moves.

Terry Rozier is on unpaid leave and is not eligible to be traded. Lakers wouldn't include draft compensation for Wiggins. In fact if I were the Lakers I would demand draft compensation coming back to the Lakers if Knecht were included in a deal like this.
