Keep Russell and the pick. Need to keep young core of Russell, Clarkson, Randle, Ingram (#2 pick) together.
Sign Whiteside to max because he fits Walton's system. Tall, defensive player who knows his limits on offense. To be realistic, KD and Lebron aren't coming to LA and we aren't trading for PG13. Try to sign Derozan to max deal but please no Harrison Barnes. Played awful in the finals and is certainly not worth anything near the max. Also, maybe sign Alan Anderson. Not very good on offense but he's a vet who can come off the bench and play good on-ball defense, which is what Lakers need.
As for the #32 pick, I really think AJ Hammons from Purdue is a good pick. Good player with an all around offensive game.
Stretch Young because of his salary. I say keep Lou Will bc he's a veteran scorer off the bench.

Been seeing different kinds of rumors that the Lakers should trade Russell and Ingram for Westbrook. While I absolutely love Westbrook's game, this trade has disaster written all over it for LA.
Russell and Ingram have potential to be a great duo and trading them away would be stupid, especially for a player who is a free agent next summer and would leave if the Lakers don't sign another superstar.
Keeping the young core of Russell, Clarkson, Randle, and Ingram is the best thing the Lakers can do!

Will be Howard trade 2.0, except we don't have any picks to get good young talent again if he leaves.

Totally agree. Keep the young core. Wait a year and sign Westbrook as a free agent. He just rejected an extension with the Thunder so he will more than likely leave anyway and the Lakers have that max salary slot wide open to pay him.

Totally against any trade right now but are you guys seriously dreaming that Westbrook will come here next year like Anthony, like aldridge, like durant. 💤💤
