Just around 24h for draft day and all rumours seem to point to Ingram as future Laker.
So by what I have been reading, Laker future is being built around the folowing players:
D Rusell, Clarkson, Randle and . Ingram. With potential backup players in Lou Williams, Nance Jr and Huertas.
All the rest are expendable IMO.
So that leaves are giant hole in the C position and the best FA candidates to fill it are: Whiteside (would require max. contract), Horford (C/ PF-near max. ) Biyombo (C/ PF 10-14mill) & Mahinmi (10?) .
Lakers should try to get at least two of the above.
Secondly, the SF position should not be the sole responsibility of a rookie. Best options I believe are: Batum (max. contract), Bazemore (15?) and/ or maybe someone more veteran such as Jared Dudley (WAS) good % in 3s this season.

Opinions? Possible?
I would not sign Derozan, quality player but is it what the Lakers need? . Nor H. Barnes-where was he in the last 3 games?

Yes derozan is what we need *cough* all star caliber talent *cough*.
Although if we don't go after him bazemore would be my choice.

Yes the Lakers need Derozan. If the Lakers don't get talent like Derozan & Horford they will not make the playoffs. Young core is good but with Ingram developing its going to take awhile to get enough wins to make a playoff run without an extra boost of talent.

Any opinions on this year's roster? Summer began with free agency rumors involving derozan, whiteside, durant, barnes, bazemore etcetc. Then possible trade rumors involving PG, Cousins, Butler, westbrook, etcetc.
We have ended up overpaying for mozgov and deng, acciquiring calderon, and 2 new rookies.
Can we improve on last year's performance and win what, 20 games?

Agree with the 1st priority, the Centre position must be covered and Biyombo would be ideal; perhaps with Horford too.
Don't agree with derozan as Laker, he is good but not what's needed. And can't hit 3s.
