- Sign Pau Gasol on a huge pay-cut

This isn't going to work out. Remember what happened when we signed Nash and Howard and our starting lineup was like Nash Kobe Metta Gasol Howard? And everyone thought we were going to be the best team in the league? This lineup reminds me of that roster. We can't have too much stars on our team or else problems will break out

Lakers/ Celtics
Lakers trade: Anthony Brown and 2nd round pick (32nd)
Celtics trade: RJ Hunter
Lakers/ Rockets
Lakers trade: Lou Williams and Larry Nance
Rockets trade: Sam Dekker.

Yeah I am kind of curious also why you would make these moves? Do you realize Hunter and Dekker have done nothing this season and will not even match what Brown has done let alone Williams, Nance and the value of that second round pick?

Both those players would be a huge upgrade for the lakers future. The Lakers biggest problem this season is floor spacing which is exactly what Hunter and Dekker can do.

Ok, well Lou Williams is one of the best on the team in regards to floor spacing so that doesn't really make sense. Second this is a young team so those kinds of mistakes you see would happen with any young team. Give them time to grow. Lakers biggest problem is they need players who can't defend and get back on "d" at a fast rate. IMO Hunter and Dekker are D leaguers. Rockets and Celtics would jump at that deal.

With the trade deadline over, Lakers need to focus on the young guys the rest of the season! Russell, Clarkson, and Randle should all be playing 32-35 minutes. Nance, Brown, and Black should be playing 28-30 minutes. The only vet who should be playing 30 minutes is Kobe (I'd recommend 25-28 though) and that's because it's his final season and everybody wants to watch him play.

Lakers draft Ingram at #2
Lakers sign Whiteside and Barnes to max contracts
PG- Russell
SG- Clarkson
SF- Barnes
PF- Randle
C- Whiteside
6th- Ingram (gives him a full season to get used to the NBA and develop his body)
- Still an elite team/ Championship contender but it will take 3-5 years and all players must live up to their potential.

Dream scenario:
Lakers trade: Russel, Randle, Clarkson, #2 pick
Pelicans trade: Anthony Davis
- I know Pelicans won't do it but they should really consider it. Right now they have Anthony Davis and a bunch of horrible contracts taking up all the cap space. Not to mention they probably won't attract any top free agents to play in New Orleans. So making this trade actually speeds up their rebuild with 4 very good players for 1 superstar, but Russell, Randle and Ingram all have the potential to be elite.
PG- Russell
SG- Clarkson
SF- Ingram
PF- Randle
C- Asik or FA
- Meanwhile the Lakers have had trouble attracting free agents recently cause they have nothing for free agents to look at. So acquiring Davis gives the Lakers a 23 year old superstar and make themselves more attractive to Durant, Derozan, etc. I'm putting Huertas at PG cause he will just be needed to pass the ball around

C- Whiteside.

No way lakers trade clarkson for MCW. And thanks to the Gilbert arenas provision clarkson will only count for 5 million in cap space his first two years with us before it goes up to 16-20 million in years 3-4/5

Are you serious?
First of all Kobe isn't worth Griffin at this point in his career (a second round maybe late first pick is the best we would get out of him) but secondly and more importantly, why tf do you think we would trade him? He's spent his entire career as a laker and wants to retire as one.
