Give it a year to see if the team can develop if the team is still poor we will get another lottery pick. if the teams shows promise then we will have a dyanasty on our hands.

DWARD: You cannot sign BOTH George and Cousins in 2018. It is not financially possible.
Lakers have 22M to spend this summer, w/ the cap holds for the number 2 pick (4.5M) and the 28th pick (1M)
That is not enough for a max contract THIS summer.
Next summer, the contracts of Black (6.6M) and Brewer (7.4M) come off while the contracts of the 2nd pick, Mozgov increase slightly, adding an additional 13M. That is enough for ONE max seeing how they start in the 26-30M range. You must also pay Randle if you want to keep him in 2018. This is why I say trade now to attain george's bird rights, allowing the Lakers to re/ sign him OVER the cap and attain another player like Cousins. Any deal for George would more than likely include taking Deng off. I'd rather pay 18M for George next season than for Deng. Idk about you.

MIN: L Deng, LAL 2017 (#4 Pick)
LAL: MIN 2017 (#6 Pick)

If Indy don't bite, draft Tatum or Isaac and hopefully get George in 2018 FA.
This will give the board & Magic another year to see how our young core devolps as well as us still having assets with Randle, Tatum or Isaac if George doesn't go through and a young core to entice stars in 2018 FA such Westbrook and Cousins.

The Thunder are not going to let Russell Westbrook walk without getting anything in return. If he rejects the contract extension this offseason and if the Lakers call it's going to cost D'Angelo Russell + another young piece. Whiteside's contract is a lot of money. Can't bring in Whiteside, George and Westbrook on max deals if Deng and Mozgov are on the roster.

If Anthony Davis demands he wants out of New Orleans and says he isn't resigning then Davis could come but the lineup would be different. The key is cost. Russell, Ingram, and Randle will be due $12M+ a year contracts by that time so I doubt 1 or 2 will be apart of the team cause Davis is a Super Max player.

This is more likely because Magic plans to be agressive in 2018 Free Agency where both Paul George and Boogie Cousins will be available.
Also, Davis has stated multiple times that he wants to be a Pelican his whole career.

Thoughts on Okafor to lakers?

I think it make sense with the young core. We could potential dominate the NBA for years with the line up off

I think Okafor will only cost a second rounder and could still fulfill his potential in a new environment. He defense is poor but I think it is all due to mentality as you can see with players like Harden. Harden was a quality defender when he was with OKC but now I believe he just doesn't give a fuck lol

Under the right coaching and the young team really buying into Walton, anything is possible!

It's tough to say if the Lakers will dominate with that lineup. They need to make the playoffs first. Lakers need to improve on defense. Okafor is a poor defender like you said so I don't see the reason of bringing him in. Especially with Mozgov and Zubac on the roster already. I just don't see Okafor doing well in a Walton system when he isn't doing well in a Brett Brown/ Gregg Popovich system.
