Any way we can get Clint Capela? Maybe if James goes to Houston?

Yes they can if the Rockets don't match an offer sheet. I just don't see the Lakers having interest. He will want a 4 year deal and the Lakers will want a 1 year deal.

But if we miss on James but land George I think this would be a really good team.

Ball, Thomas
George, Hart
Ingram
Randle, Kuzma
Capela
I think we can get Thomas pretty cheap because of his injury.

If the Lakers do that then they will be out of the running for an allstar player in 2019. Randle will want a contract of either 5 years $100M+ from the Lakers or a 4 year contract of $80M being matched. Clint Capela will be looking for a 4 year $80M deal. I am unsure if Lakers fans will like the fact that the Lakers trade Russell, Clarkson, and Nance Jr. for extra space to get Clint Capela.

Your probably right. I would like to of seen this team with Russell, Clarkson and Nance.
With a 3 guard rotation of Ball, Russell and Clarkson.
Ingram at the SF. And a big rotation of Randle, Nance and Kuzma. If we could land a good center. They could make a very good team in a couple years.

Great convo. I know a lot of you still want Russell, but his wiffle ball defense was really damaging. Nance and Clarkson have been a non factor so far in the playoffs, that I know of, but they are solid bench players. Personally, I would sign Capella over Randal as his defense is outstanding and George will make up the scoring.

Question? Let’s say George signs this year and they resign Randle will they have room to sign Kawhi next year?

Depends. If they sign Randle for $15M to $18M yes and they stretch Deng. If Randle signs for Max money then no. If they resign KCP, Lopez, or Thomas to long term deals then no. The Lakers must take on 1 year deals.
