With the bkn pick lakers could draft Mo Bamba as a backup to love. Bamba might end up being the best rim protector in the nba. Lakers need a good defender

The only problem is that the Cavaliers have stated they aren't going to trade the Brooklyn pick. I know you have been mentioning Kevin Love's name in this forum. The Lakers should wait til free agency and see who they can come up first.

I get what you're saying. It would be hard to get the pick and love but cavaliers will be willing to take Lopez Randle Clarkson and brewer for them. The free agents would be either boogie or dj. Boogie will want too much 💰 and dj is just a big body who can't shoot. If lakers wait until free agency they might get nobody. They should get love now and hopefully the pick then make a run at pg13 in summer.

For starters the Cavilers can't take back $47M in salary and send Love and his $22M in salary to the Lakers. So that wouldn't work the way you constructed it. The Cavilers did show an interest in Jordan Clarkson but again stated that they aren't sending the Brooklyn pick for him.

It would've been Shumpert + another player + the Brooklyn pick for Clarkson. Cavaliers rejected it. They would do a Clarkson and Brewer for Shumpert + Frye + 2018 Cavaliers first round pick deal. However the Lakers aren't doing that.

Boogie has an achilles injury so he isn't going to get that big contract this offseason. I think he resigns with New Orleans on 1 year deal then reenters free agency the next year. We don't know what his future will be like with that injury. See how things change quickly. We don't even know if he is even going to play next year. Yes DJ is a big body that can't shoot but he will be getting a big money contract as well and he would be a plan B option if others don't sign.

I would like to see the Lakers get PG13. He would be the priority choice. Wouldn't be surprise at 12:01 midnight when free agency begins he gets the call from the Lakers. I would probably hold off on Jordan and wait til 2019 free agency. Klay Thompson would be available.

I didn't realize the money differential. Here's Lakers dream scenario: trade Randle Clarkson brewer for shumpert Frye and bkn pick. In free agency they make a run at pg13 / Bron and boogie.
