There is no logic in trading for Pg13 when he clearly wants to be a Laker. let's say Lakers lose a lot of talent for George, then what? .... jus for that AllStar game at staples? makes no sense. Let the Celtics or other teams lose their assets. Its not like we're going to be contenders!! lol

Lakers should try the easier route first trade for Carmelo or get a star through Free Agency, maybe Blake, Hayward, or CP3.

You are right on this. Lakers should wait til 2018 for George. I do agree slight on a trade for him if it doesn't mean giving up top assets. If the Pacers were to accept Clarkson, Brewer and the 27th pick for George I say do it cause Clarkson isn't going to get the playing time with George there. However I read people wanting to give up Russell, Ingram, Randle or the top pick. That makes no sense. What I think people want to do is trade for George and sign a top star. It will be very interesting to see what players the Lakers can get to come to LA and what deals can be made. With Mozgov and Deng on the books Lakers can only sign 1 star free agent.

If lakers keep pick. Trade down in the draft to Minnesota #6 pick, along with luol deng's contract and Tarik black and a couple future 2nd rounders
-Trade #6 and #28 picks, Julius Randle, Mozgov to Pacers for Paul George and 2017 #18 overall pick.
-Two bad contracts gone. Sign Gordon Hayward to max.
Pretty good team in George, Hayward, Russell, Ingram, zubac, clarkson, nance, nwaba, Ennis, and young if he opts in. Sign a couple veteran players.

Next offseason resign George. sign Demarcus Cousins.
Or see if they can get cousins for cheap at deadline and maybe the lakers can steal a championship:)

Funny cause the last time this rumor about a star wanting to join the Lakers was going on, a team traded for said player and won a title. Yes, the much sought after Kevin Love who was rumored as a sure bet to choose the Lakers in free agency until a team traded for him and they went to the finals.

If the Lakers do wait for Paul george, and let Boston throw all their assets, and he ends up re/ signing with Boston, Lakers would look like fools once again. Fans who would rather invest in the potential of Russell than an established star are not understanding. Possibly the same people who think that you just up and become contenders right away as if teams don't take time to form cohesiveness. Possibly the same people who think that this core will be contenders in 5 years as if their talent matches that of Wiggins-Towns in the West.

GM-Kevin Love went to the Cavaliers who had Lebron James on it. If the Lakers had Lebron James as a starting point yes the Lakers would be champions or championship contenders. The Lakers are in a rebuilding mode. Paul George is no Lebron James. He isn't even going to make the All NBA Team. Yes he is a good player but gutting the team to get George is not the answer. Maybe minor part so the team can be competative next year otherwise waiting til 2018 is ok by me. As for Boston they aren't going to trade for George if George has stated he wants to be a Laker.

GMdeNBA - Is not like the Cavs went to the Finals because of Kevin Love though.
