I like this for the Lakers.

Lakers have an excellent chance at number two pick and great chance at number one. So I go with number two most likely Ingram. Then Lakers get pick 32.

Plan one since I want them to get Durant. First before anyone! Then with Durant two other great players would join. Center is a must I take horford, Whiteside, Howard. All can play defense and protect the paint. Now a shooting guard. Who is big and has experience. Derozan. Lakers would have 63 mill in cap. This is something real new to have allot of talented rookies and two players who are decent but been playing horrible lately plus have 63 mil in cap. So 24 Durant and 19.5 each to the center and derozan. Use mle on draft pick Ingram. they would had a 2.5 mil cap hold on clarkson then sign him to whatever. Then resign players and get new coach. I like Brooks with Kobe Bryant as assistant.

With clarkson, randle, Nance Jr, young, Williams, coming off bench. Be nice if Lakers trade young, Williams plus randle for sign and trade rondo. Then have Russell, clarkson, Nance Jr, brown, second round pick, plus sign a few veterans.



Plan 2, if can't get Durant. Then resign all players to one year deals at good contacts to eat up cap. give Joe Johnson 1 year 20 mil and give Elton Brand Money. Lakers should used up enough cap to play and should be worst team if sixers don't make any trades or sign anyone good. Then get another asset and save a first round pick.

The MLE is for free agents not draft picks. Draft picks salaries are already set which at #2 it would be $5M.

Second thing why would you give Joe Johnson $20M? So that they can be the worst team? If so then you need to realize if the Lakers make that pick in 2016 for Ingram then the 2017 pick goes to the Sixers. So your plan 2 will not work the way you want it to. Filling the roster yes but not overpaying players who are just about to retire.
